seek physicians for Ambulatory Pulmonary Medicine. (ranks available: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor). The successful candidates will be expected to practice in Morgantown, WV. (Depending on operational needs, a successful candidate may also be assigned to provide services at additional worksites in West Virginia and Pennsylvania. In such instances, travel would be anticipated and expected to fulfill said duties at these additional sites).
The successful candidate will practice in the areas of Academic Ambulatory Pulmonary Medicine. In addition to providing excellent patient care, the successful candidate will also be actively involved in the teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows.
Candidate must have an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and be eligible for state medical license. Successful candidate must have completed internal medicine residency program, as well as a pulmonary fellowship. Candidates must be board certified / eligible in pulmonary diseases. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment. Immigration support may be available.
This position will focus on outpatient Pulmonary medicine. At WVU, you will work with a team of outstanding and experienced Pulmonologists. You will be supported by a team of Advanced Practice Providers and a dynamic nursing staff with embedded nurse case managers to help care for our sickest patients. In addition, you will have the opportunity to supervise the fellows clinic and engaging in all aspects of teaching and scholarly activity. For candidates with appropriate experience and vision, MEDICAL DIRECTORSHIP of Ambulatory Clinic may be considered. NO WEEKENDS , NO CALLS!! WVU Medicine facilities system-wide use the Epic health information system enabling safer, more coordinated patient care.
