DescriptionPOSITION DESCRIPTION:The Product Manager will collaborate with other teams, such as product management, sales, marketing, R&D, quality, manufacturing, legal, etc. This role is responsible for PV module-related topics in the North American markets, including compatibility, bankability, listing, pre-sales, warranty service, site troubleshooting, voice of customer surveys, etc. This position will report to the Head of PV Solutions Engineering, or another senior management the President of the company assigns. This position is based in the San Francisco Bay Area, CA, it requires up to 20% traveling.RESPONSIBILITIESFinding technical solutions for product and customer-related problems.Own the bankability, listing, technical pre-sales, voice of customers surveys, and other assigned engineering topics in the North American marketsAlign with the global internal organizations (global R&D, global product management, global quality management, etc) and factories on technology roadmap, product offers, product features, and product introduction timelinesOwn the product introduction process in the North American markets, including product listing, third-party qualification, product document preparation, and training materials for both internal and external use.Responsible for proactive actions to ensure problem-free product sales and delivery.Provide timely and customer-centric actions in case of customer queries, complaints, and claimsProvide product training and promote Qcells North America solutions to customers and the sales team; represent Qcells North America at trade shows and conferencesAnticipate and identify technical and customer relationship issues. Inform or escalate appropriately to management and formulate solutions in collaboration with other teams.Perform hands-on engineering or other assigned tasks as an individual contributor when needed.Stay up to date on PV technologies and industry trends by taking part in technical meetings and industry showsREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

A BS Degree in Engineering or Physical Sciences (Electrical, Mechanical, Physics, etc) with 3-4 years of relevant experience, or a MS/Ph.D. Degree in Engineering or Physical sciences (Electrical, Mechanical, Physics, etc) with 2-3 years of relevant experience in the PV industry.Must be an expert and in touch with the state-of-the-art of at least one, and knowledgeable about at least an additional one of the following areas:PV, inverter, racking, and BOS compatibility and applications in the residential, C&I, and utility segmentsTesting, certification, listing, codes, standards of PVPV products, technology, manufacturing, qualityHands-on experience processing, developing, applying, testing, and deploying PV productsExperience working for PV manufacturers in R&D, engineering, production or application capacities preferredDemonstrated successful customer support track records in a fast-paced tech industryExtensive experience working with cross-functional teams and individuals of diverse backgroundsStrong professional integrity and sense of ownership of statements and assignmentsSelf-motivated, requires minimum supervision, and have a proven track record of reliability and work ethicTake assignments with a sense of urgency; deliver solutions and results promptly; can-do mentality, pro-active working attitude, and hands-on approachGood communication skills with customers, management, and internal teamsGood business acumen; strong sense of the technical issue, customer service, and business result relationshipsFlexible, team-player, attention-to-detail, pro-active and responsible working attitudesMust be authorized to work in the USHanwha Q CELLS America Inc.
