The Senior Accountant reports to the General Manager and provides high-level accounting functions, including preparing and analyzing financial statements, bank reconciliations and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and financial legal requirements.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL
Bachelor's degree in tax, accounting, or financeMinimum 4+ prior years' experience in accounting/financeExperience with financial reporting requirementsExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailStrong analytical and troubleshooting skillsProcess Improvement understandingProficient skills with QuickBooks or similar ERP systemProficient skills with Microsoft OfficeAdvanced experience in Excel with pivot tables and v-lookupsStrong ethical foundation and high integrity.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
Review and process all company payables and follow up with appropriate staff member as appropriate.Oversee accounts payable and perform escalated collections activities with customers, management or sales representatives when necessary for accounts receivablesInitiate and monitor international wire transfers for vendor payments in a timely manner with direction from company managementAnalyze and run monthly sales commission reports and initiate paymentsProcess new customer application packets including researching and vetting new customers via credit, bank and credit checksKeep customer center data updated with contact information, including company principals, buyers, sales tax IDs, etc.Keep company sales tax and use filings up to date and inform relevant customersPrepare and process GL entries in all phases of corporate accounting, including but not limited to maintenance of accruals, prepaid, and miscellaneous entriesReview and prepare journal entries for corporate expense reports and credit card spendingReconcile bank statements by comparing statements with general ledgerManage month-end and year-end close activities, including preparation of journal entries, and reconciliation of accountsFile and remit taxes and other financial obligationsPrepare consolidated internal and external financial statements and analysis information from general ledger system
Income statement - gross margin/operating profit/net profit marginBalance sheet - A/R turnover, days to sales, debt to assets, debt to equity, DSO and DPOCash flow - EBDITA/free cash flowWorking Capital Analysis
Provide reports to managers on a daily/weekly/monthly basis on financial analysisEnsure the financial transactions in assigned general ledger accounts are recorded in the general ledger in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)Assist management with developing, implementing, and maintaining the system of internal controlsComplete audit and improve current accounting practicesMaintain accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and proceduresResearch and comply with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising senior management on needed actionsAssist with annual review and tax return preparation and supportServe as liaison with accounting firm for year-end tax preparation, financial reviews, and/or auditsMaintain customer confidence and protect operations by keeping financial information confidential
Compensation Range: $76,500 - $85,000 annually, consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position. ACR reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. ACR offers a competitive total rewards package inclusive of health and financial wellness benefits, fringe benefits, paid time off, and an annual bonus program.
