Position Summary:
The IT Business Continuity Associate will be responsible for developing, maintaining and improving technical recovery plans. The tasks include scheduling, planning and reporting on contingency events. This role will ensure TCH technical systems are delivering services to our customers as expected by monitoring, identifying, logging and resolving issues, including handling escalations to the Business Continuity Manager.Qualifications Required:Extensive knowledge in Business Continuity (BC) and Disaster Recovery (DR)Knowledge and understanding of information technology, in distributed computing environmentsBachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experienceStrong organizational, project management, and decision-making abilities5+ years in the financial services industryDetail-oriented and organizedExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAble to work independentlyFamiliar with the Archer business continuity platformAssociate Business Continuity professional (ABCP) certificationFamiliar with mainframe systemsEssential Functions and Responsibilities:Execute continuity activities in accordance with the business continuity process frameworkProvide governance over technical recovery plans to ensure the recovery objectives of the business can be achievedPartner with infrastructure/application teams to ensure application designs align with recovery objectivesCoordinate tests of technical recovery plans, reviewing the results and taking action to resolve identified issuesSupport technical recovery plan execution during the invocation and restoration of service to normal operating conditionsEnsure that all employees who have a role in the recovery phase are fully trained and aware of their roles and responsibilitiesReview major changes that can have impact on technical recovery plans and updating the plans accordinglyBuild and maintain technical recovery scripts for new and existing servicesSome weekend work will be requiredPhysical demands and work environment:
Work is generally sedentary in nature but may require standing and walking. The working environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc.
