Overview
Our Water Market is growing, and we are seeking a Southeast Water Program Director to join our team. Woolpert's Water services include but are not limited to: Wet Infrastructure Management and Condition Assessment, Water / Wastewater / Stormwater Design, Watershed Studies, Surface Water Monitoring & Analysis, NPDES Stormwater Services, and Wastewater & Sanitary Sewer Evaluation Studies (SSES). We are looking for an eager, focused individual to continue building our team to win exciting and innovative project work locally and regionally and complement Woolpert's existing Water capabilities throughout the US.
This is a fully remote position, open to candidates located in the Eastern Time Zone.
Responsibilities
Sales and growth of our Water Market services focusing on the Southeast US through the establishment or improvement of client relationships.
Work across Market areas to develop business opportunities and assure services are performed in a manner compatible with Woolpert's Water Market goal of being a top 5 provider of SSES, stormwater management, Water / Wastewater / Stormwater Design and surface water monitoring in the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast; to expand those offerings and market position to clients in the Midwest and Florida.Build and enhance existing client relationships to identify and initiate additional project opportunities within the client base for Water services.Identify and build new client relationships with large municipal and Federal clients for Wastewater & Sanitary Sewer Evaluation Studies (SSES), NPDES Stormwater Services, Watershed Studies, and Water / Wastewater / Stormwater Design, Wet Infrastructure Management and Condition Assessment, Surface Water Quantity and Quality Monitoring and Analysis, Live Modeling / AI / Machine Learning Flood Prediction, Adaptive Control design and implementation, and HABs Prediction Machine Learning.Represent Woolpert as an industry leader for Water services with new and existing clients.Assist Project Managers in or performing negotiation of project schedule, fee, scope, and contract terms.Mentor Project Managers and technical staff.Work with Project Managers to identify, address and resolve any project issues impacting client goals, objectives and/or client satisfaction.Clearly define and communicate the project scope, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of client needs and expectations. This includes identifying key deliverables, setting measurable objectives, establishing timelines, and detailing all requirements necessary for successful project completion. Maintain open lines of communication with the client throughout the project to manage expectations and address any changes or concerns promptly.Industry leader representing Woolpert by attending conferences and involvement in local, regional, and national industry organizations, groups and committees.
Qualifications
* BA/BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering and 12 years related experience, MA/MS and 10 years related experience.* Professional Engineering (PE) license required.* Work experience and client relationships with local and state agencies in the Southeast.* Candidate must have business development sales acumen and project management skills.* Must be able to make sound decisions/recommendations based on the evaluation and synthesis of information and data.* Must demonstrate an enterprising, innovative, proactive management approach.* Must possess high levels of demonstrated leadership ability.* Must possess strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.* Must possess excellent facilitation and/or meeting skills.* Must possess excellent presentation and communication (oral and written) skills.* Must have Microsoft Office suite skills.* Must be able to travel as required to meet the needs and demands of the Market.Woolpert, Inc. is a cutting-edge national architecture, engineering and geospatial (AEG) firm that delivers value to clients by blending site and architectural design excellence with innovative technology and geospatial applications.
