Job Summary:
We are looking for a Data Migration Analyst based in the Metro Atlanta area to perform the analysis needed to migrate DB2-LUW data to a PostgreSQL environment. This role involves planning, executing, and validating data migrations while ensuring data integrity and accuracy. The ideal candidate will develop and implement migration strategies, including data cleansing, validation processes, and will be responsible for creating complex SQL scripts and stored procedures for ETL processes. Collaboration with Application Development SMEs will be essential for accurate data mapping and ETL optimization, with documentation maintained on SharePoint.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute data migration strategies, including data cleansing and validation processes to maintain data quality.
• Design, implement, and manage data migration tasks to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
• Create complex SQL scripts and stored procedures to support ETL processes.
• Collaborate with Application Development SMEs for accurate data mapping and ETL optimization.
• Document migration activities and provide updates on SharePoint for easy tracking and transparency.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in a related field OR a Master's degree with relevant experience.
• 5+ years of experience with data migration processes.
• 5+ years of experience with SQL and stored procedures.
• 3+ years of experience with relational databases (e.g., DB2, SQL Server).
• 1+ years of experience with PostgreSQL.
• 1+ years of experience with DBeaver Tool or IBM Data Studio.
• 1+ years of experience with Erwin Data Modeling Tool.
• 1+ years of experience with Microsoft Windows Server.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with ETL tools, such as SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and DB2-LUW export utilities.
• Knowledge of Unemployment Insurance (UI) Benefits and Tax.
• Understanding of data mapping processes and best practices.
