The ECMO Specialist functions independently following standing ECMO orders and parameters whileunder the direction of the ECMO Physician and ECMO APP.This role involves providing expert care to critically ill patients, ensuring optimal functioning of the ECMO circuit, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.Additionally, you will be actively involved in research, education, and precepting as part of the program's development.Qualifications
Job Requirements:
Registered Respiratory Therapist requiredRespiratory Therapist license to practice in the state of OklahomaMinimum of 3 years of experience as an ECMO specialist in a critical care setting.BLSACLSPreferred Job Requirements:
Active certification with the state of Texas upon hire only. Recertification upon expirationPerfusion - Certified to practice as a Perfusionist by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion preferredAssociate's or Bachelor's Degree (preferred) in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited education program
