AstraZeneca is offering a pivotal role for an experienced Clinical Program Director within our Early Clinical Development team in R&I, focusing on the cutting edge of Immunology with a specialized emphasis on Cell Therapy. This role provides strategic and operational insight into the design and delivery of global clinical programs, particularly in the development of innovative cell therapies for autoimmune diseases. Your strategic vision and operational acumen will guide these programs from conception up to phase III, shaping the future of treatment in a high-impact area of medical need.Your impact:Provide strategic and operational leadership within the Clinical Program Team (CPT)Using your own strategic insights and integration of cross-functional input, optimize the creation of innovative, deliverable clinical plans.Implement innovative approaches and technologies for trial delivery, patient engagement, and digital strategies.Oversee program execution, aligning with internal and external stakeholders and pertinent functions in a variety of delivery models to meet benchmarks for time, cost, and quality.Expertly manage budgets and resources, applying your knowledge to forecast and adapt to dynamic program needs.Help to shape AstraZeneca’s approach to drug development in the innovative cell therapy field.Key Qualifications:Bachelor of Science degree in science or related discipline.10+ years of related clinical operations experience in the pharmaceutical, CRO, or biotech industry.Extensive global drug development experience, with a demonstrated ability to lead operations within matrixed teams.Background in immunology, specifically in autoimmune diseases and experience in cell therapy program development and execution preferred.Proven track record in selecting and managing external partners (e.g., CROs, alliance partners).Strategic, innovative, and able to solve complex problems effectively.Why AstraZeneca?
