MPH, MBA or other advanced degree preferredMinimum 5 years Health care / health insurance experienceMinimum 2 years prior experience interpreting and evaluating regulatory policy and documentationDemonstrated ability to identify, interpret, and explain regulatory, policy, and other external developments and requirements via clear and concise internal communicationsProvide research, analysis, and communications concerning internal and external customers’ business questions, requests and/or needs—tailoring messaging to specific audiencesThorough knowledge government health care program requirements preferred and required over timeKnowledge in the managed care field, and specifically case management concepts and/or processes, operations, and quality processes and/or reporting strongly preferredCuriosity to foster innovation and pave the way for growthHumility to play as a teamCommitment to being the difference for our customers in every interactionYour key responsibilities:Monitor and analyze all policy, regulatory, contractual and other programmatic changes for MVP’s Medicaid, Essential Plan, and Child Health Plus (CHP) lines of businessUnder the guidance of the Leader, Government Program Relations, this Professional will identify business requirements, provide analysis, advice and support timely business awareness, education, execution, and compliance deliverablesThis Professional will manage multiple initiatives related to regulatory requirements, filings, program/government audits, information requests and other special projects as directedIn support of these responsibilities the Professional will collaborate with MVP’s Legal, Government Affairs, and Compliance Departments, as well as various internal business functions. The Professional will also work closely with the Leader, Government Program Relations, to proactively maintain and manage key relationships with the Centers for Medicaid & Medicare Services (CMS), New York State Departments of Health (DOH), Office of Mental Health (OMH), and Office of Addiction Supports and Services (OASAS)Contribute to our humble pursuit of excellence by performing various responsibilities that may arise, reflecting our collective goal of enhancing healthcare delivery and being the difference for the customer.Where you’ll be:Hybrid to Schenectady, NY (in office two days a week)Pay TransparencyAt MVP, we are committed to providing competitive employee compensation and benefits packages.
