Participate in a highperforming culture delivering high availability solutions, implementingsecurity best practices, remediating vulnerabilities, and delivering automatedsolutions for easier platform maintenance and deployment. The senior LinuxEngineer is a thought leader in the ongoing digital transformation and cloudmigration. In this role, the engineer works with application teams to determinerequirements, evaluate solutions, and implements those solutions that achievebusiness objectives.
•Perform daily administration of Redhat Linux 7/8/9 on-prem and in GCP.•Build server images to conform to standards, including hardening and securitycompliance like CIS, SOX, PCI.•Manage service level agreements, documentation, and policy/procedure relatedLinux Servers and ancillary tools.•Respond to off-hours calls / text (L3) on-call support.•Execute changes off-hours as needed.•Create and manage scripts to perform system tasks with ansible.•Assist with design, configuration, and maintenance of the Linux serverenvironment using Packer, Terraform and a VMware Virtualization Technology.•Work with the team to ensure standards are included, applied, and maintainedacross all product sets and solutions.•Manage and maintain VMware virtualization environment on a hyperconvergedserver platform•Own and operate the company's release engineeringinfrastructure, including physical and virtual hardware, automation tooling,and continuous integration (CI) resources•Audit and secure services acrossdevelopment, test, and production environments•Independently coordinates with system vendors to resolve system issues.•Supports and maintains the hardware and software infrastructure with a targetof zero unplanned downtime.•Consistently observe security best practices in the deployment of allresponsibilities.•Assist with internal and external audits
Experience and Skills•
Linux Server Administration - 7+ years of relevant experience in RHEL serveradministration•Enterprise-level server administration - Demonstrated experience in managing,implementing, and maintaining an enterprise-level server environment thatincludes VMWare, physical and Cloud.•VMWare - Experience deploying and maintaining servers in a hosted virtualenvironment.•Cloud - Experience deploying and maintaining servers in apublic-cloud hosted environment such as GCP & Azure•Delinia Server Suite - (Centrify AD Bridge) - - Solid knowledge how to upgrade/maintainand troubleshoot Server Suit.•Ansible and shell scripting - Practical experience scripting to automatetasks and processes at an enterprise scale.•Networking - General knowledge in networking including TCP/IP, ACLs, VIPs,VPNs.•Knowledge of Packer& Git Lab•Senior 7+ year Redhat Linux - RHL 7/8/9•Centrify - Linux AD Bridge•Ansible AutomationRole updates as neededNet new role creation•Redhat Satelliteadministration / upgrading / maintenance.•SSH Key managemen
