Mini Melts is a fast growing beaded ice cream company, expanding operations across the country. We are looking for a Depot Manager for our Houston distribution depot.
Job Duties:
Warehouse/Inventory ManagementDevelops a deep understanding of the products, equipment and all aspects of Mini Melts policies and procedures.Perform weekly and monthly inventories of all products and supplies and re-order as needed, maintaining established parsEnsure all products and equipment are neatly organized, consolidated and marked within the warehouseReceive, inspect, and verify all incoming shipments according to the established procedures.Maintain and order merchandising equipment, ensuring all drivers have a suitable par level in their vehicles and the depot has a sufficient par system in place for future orders.POS, Stickers, signage, advertising materials, cleaning suppliesEnsure depot has a steady amount of GNG ready for Install, replacement vending machines for priority accounts, Vending Parts (Nayax Equipment), and any other equipment deemed necessary for daily operations.Coordinate, schedule and deliver equipment in a timely mannerManage the end-of-day check in progress, capturing and communicating key service, safety and daily operational issues.General warehouse and office stocking, cleaning, and organizationVehicle Maintenance/Fleet ManagementMonitor and Inspect Storage Trailer to ensure temperature is within or below temperature range and product is in good condition.Inspect vehicles weekly to ensure par levels are maintained, cleaned, scraped of ice and partial cases are consolidatedInspect vehicle specs to ensure all vehicles have the correct freezers, tools and supplies. Example: Iphone/Ipad, chargers, Vending Keys, PO's, Gas Card, Nayax Card, Ez Pass EtcMaintain an up to date electronic log of all vehicle informationInspect daily vehicle plug in policiesEmployee Management and DevelopmentAdequately staff the depot to meet the business demands.Ensure the depot is up to date with all current policies and procedures.Work with the corporate routing team to route, plan, and execute daily delivery routesWork with management to provide all depot employees with the proper tools and information to do their job properly.Interact with drivers daily ensuring day to day operations and customer service expectations are being met.Minimize product loss by enforcing product handling procedures and best practicesPlan, distribute, monitor and follow-up on daily route assignments to ensure customers are serviced per company standards and agreements. Ensuring all drivers are adding the proper notes and documentation procedures daily.Develop, teach, and manage all employees to follow all guidelines along with all policies and procedures according to the Mini Melts standardEnsure all employees have the proper Mini Melts Apparel and look professional when interacting with customers.Approve employee time cards weekly through ADP.On the Road ResponsibilitiesComplete deliveries, account check-ins, and machine service stops as needed using Route4Me SoftwareCommunicate daily with the Corporate office about customer frequencies, service schedules, route coverage, customer concerns, etc.Keep down time of vending machines to a minimum. All malfunctioning machines should be serviced within 24 hours of an issue being identified.Communicate and follow-up on sales opportunities, customer issues and complaints, repairs, freezer swaps and safety issues reported by route drivers.Customer visits/check ins and sales calls on an as needed basis.
