Campus Enterprises Mission:
Campus Enterprises is NC State University's division of retail and hospitality organizations - NC State Dining, NC State Stores, Lonnie Poole Golf Course, NC State Student Centers (Witherspoon and Talley), and the One Card Office. Each department is dedicated to providing service excellence, value and enrichment of the student experience in support of academic success.
Purpose:
Provide vital support to Campus Enterprises and NC State Dining by providing an excellent dining experience for all guests.
Starting wage:
$12.75/hr (Tier 4) with opportunity for raises based on years of service within Campus Enterprises. Dining and Catering employees earn free meals and are eligible for an end-of-semester bonus
Location:
Markets- Bragaw, Wolf Village, Talley Market, Shuttle Inn

Essential functions and responsibilities include but are not limited to:Delegate tasks and coordinate among a small team of assistant managers and employees to manage one or more areas of operationAssist with recruiting, hiring and scheduling student teamsSolve problems and communicate with other staff, managers, or vendors as needed to assure excellent service and food quality and safetySupervise Cafes/Markets operations
Manage midday, night or weekend store operations of campus Cafes/Markets including register management and opening/closing proceduresLead Cafes/Markets teams, ensuring all protocols are followed correctly and consistently, and mistakes are minimized and correctedTrain student employees including Cashiers and Lead Cashiers
Work on special projects assigned by the General Manager or supervisorsAssist with daily operations such as serving food items, maintain temperature and sanitationContribute to maintaining a Grade A sanitation rating of 95% or betterEssential Qualifications:
Current NC State University student with a flexible scheduleWilling to commit to 18-20 hours per week of scheduled work for the full semester, excluding holiday breaksDemonstrated leadership ability from past work or extracurricular experienceAbility to balance among multiple tasks and prioritiesAbility to delegate tasks and communicate effectively with diverse supervisors, peers and customersProvide exemplary customer service to every guestCapability to solve problems and coach team members effectively to create a positive and productive work environmentWork with a sense of urgency, always be timelyAbility to lift up to 30 pounds with or without reasonable accommodationPreferred Qualifications:
Cross-trained in all functions of a Cashier through previous experienceDemonstrated commitment to professional development, such as participation in Customer Relations Certificate or Leadership Intensive
