About the Role:
As a Manufacturing Trainer, you will be responsible for developing and delivering comprehensive training programs focused on manufacturing processes, safety protocols, and quality assurance. You will also create and update training materials, ensuring they align with industry best practices and organizational goals. Your role will be vital in onboarding new hires and providing ongoing training to existing employees to enhance their skills and productivity.
This full-time, in-office position involves collaborating with production teams and management to identify training needs and implement effective training solutions. Your efforts will ensure that all employees are equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in their roles, thereby contributing to the overall success of our manufacturing operations.
What you'll be doing:
Oversee the training function and conduct a variety of trainings with area personnel
Conduct training needs assessment for all positions, including office, factory, and field
Develop a New Hire to Department Head (progression by role) training plan for all positions
Create new or identify existing training materials and instructional tools with appropriate delivery methods
Work with training providers to customize content to most effectively and efficiently meet organizational goals
Develop and execute post-training evaluations of trainers, materials, and trainees
Develop, implement, and manage a tracking system for recording the training plan and the training administered for each individual employee
Manage collection and reporting of employee training-related metrics
Recommend training solutions, as it applies, for performance-related issues
Continuously seek and support new approaches, practices, and processes to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of training services offered
Respond to and resolve training issues and questions
What we're looking for:
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications a must
Preferred: degree in Human Resources or Education with 5 years related experience
Working knowledge of employee relations practices
Demonstrated leadership ability
Strong public speaking and presentation abilities
Strong verbal, listening, and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently, be self-motivated and self-directed
Preferred: practical experience in developing training for skilled, technical, and non-technical employees
