General Function:
The Sourcing Specialist is responsible for supporting the overall strategic sourcing initiatives for New Products, Capacity Expansion, Can Line Integration, and existing Production Operations to ensure quality, cost, and delivery are met. The position will support Supplier selection, Supplier contract creation and negotiation, Supplier Management, and overall commodity management. The individual will support all new Supplier screening and required document management for new Suppliers.
Primary Responsibilities:
Assist in development of sourcing strategies for assigned categoriesAssist in the identification, selection, qualification, and onboarding of new suppliersMonitor external factors that influence materials/services pricing and availabilityAnalyze Category Spend and identify opportunitiesDeliver savings, process improvements and improved commercial termsAbility to quickly analyze, validate, and manage large amounts of data, for problem solving, project and decision support, and trend analysisCreate RFQ packages and distribute to SuppliersAct as escalation point for delivery and pricing issuesComplete vetting of all new Suppliers and ensure correct creation of Supplier within ERP and maintain document storageUnderstand and use Inventory, Manufacturing, Engineering and Financial systems, within ERPSupport an environment that fosters teamwork, flexibility and changeAct as business liaison between Suppliers and BelvacAssure Supplier visits and all associated contacts within the company, as related to the Purchasing function, are within the scope of professional business, and within the Belvac Ethics Policy, as definedSkills and Abilities:

Bachelor's Degree in a business or technical field; and a minimum of 3 years of purchasing and/or sourcing experience in a Manufacturing environmentTechnical ability to read drawings is requiredPrior Machining or Fabrication experience is preferredAPICS or SCM Certification is a plusProficient in Microsoft Office required
