StaffER Charge Nurse- Night ShiftFulltime Night Shift 7p-7aUnit SummaryBusy ER in level One Trauma Hospital -Certified Chest Pain and Stroke CenterOur Registered Nurse (RN) staff are proficient in Stroke and STEMI activations and established care guidelinesThis is a fast-paced ER environment whose success is dependent on teamwork. We have 50 exam rooms and 6 trauma baysRNs work closely with ED Providers, Social Workers, Registration, etc. because we are truly in it together!The Emergency department primarily cares for adult populations, but we do care for pediatric patients as needed.Registered Nurses (RN) can be involved in Improvement projects, Shared Governance, department committees and councils. The main tasks of the role involve evaluating patients, identifying nursing diagnoses, creating personalized care plans, and assessing patient responses.What You'll DoYou will utilize nursing judgement and reasoning to make precise health assessments, ensuring these assessments align with standard practices.You will check nursing procedures. Use research to make changes.You will demonstrate caring practices by addressing both emotional and physical discomfort, aiming to foster healing and prevent excess distress.What Will Make You Successful In The RoleFamiliarity with nursing and patient care protocols and practices.Proven communication skills both in speech and writing.Exceptional problem-solving abilities coupled with smart critical thinking skills.Belonging StatementWe believe all people should feel welcomed, valued, and supported.
