Critical care experience is a must. If the nurse has expertise in a particular discipline we appreciate knowing that and will utilize them with those patients as a rule but will possibly get exposure to patients in the other disciplines as well.Floating to PCU is mandatory and nurse must be willing to float there when needed.Must be float to Med Surg units as needed. Unit: 2S ICUNumber of Beds: 32Nurse Patient Ratio: typically 1:2, can be 1:1 or 1:3 as well (Specific ratio is not guaranteed)Patient Age Groups: Adults, GeriatricCommon Equipment: Alaris pumps, Prisma flex, Arctic Sun, IABP, Impella, SCD's, Phillips Monitors, Belmont rapid infusor, ceiling lifts, bard and CADD pumps, bladder scanners.Common Medications: Vasopressors, sedative and anxiolytics.
