Excess & Surplus Lines Underwriter

At The Cincinnati Insurance Companies, we are seeking an experienced excess and surplus lines underwriter to join our team. The ideal candidate will work in partnership with producers and an assigned underwriting assistant to solicit, underwrite and price new and renewal surplus lines commercial property and casualty business. This position requires determining individual risk acceptability, pricing, coverage, terms and conditions, achieving production and loss ratio goals within an assigned regional territory, and working independently with a high level of authority and judgment. The candidate should also be prepared to mentor and train underwriters and underwriting assistants, as well as develop successful business relationships with producers and reinsurers.
