At SanMar, the work you do makes a difference.What's the Short Version?The Art Director, Brand SanMar serves as an integral part of our company's brand initiatives and is the keeper and manager of the company's visual identity. The Art Director collaborates in lock-step with our Integrated Marketing team to translate business goals into compelling visual design. The Art Director works cross-functionally with our Designers, Writers, Marketing Managers, Content Creators, UX Design Team, and Project Managers to create highly effective brand experiences for our customers, their clients, as well as our current and prospective employees.What Will You Be Doing?Conceptualize, develop, and initiate creative content and campaigns for Brand SanMar.Translate, concept, and develop brand guidelines into a broad range of executions and create customer/employee-centric experiences.Define and maintain brand visual identity and creative direction through collaborations with the Integrated Marketing team and Creative leadership.Align creative strategy and brand identity across print, web, social, display, and other forms of creative media.Interact with and present to key project and campaign stakeholders, including our Executive Office, Operations, Product, HR, Sales, Marketing, Sustainability, and Compliance.Work collaboratively with creative and project teams on work requirements, concepts and project timelines.Develop and mentor team members.Direct photo and video shoots in support of brand campaigns, including locations, photographers, models, stylists, and other production-related requirements.Research and maintain awareness of emerging design trends, technologies and resources.Perform other duties as assigned.Comply with all policies and standards.

What Are We Looking For?Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design or other related design or marketing discipline, or related experience.10+ years of experience in design and brand marketing.Demonstrated skill in leading and mentoring a team of creatives.Hands-on experience with developing, adapting, and evolving brand guidelines.Knowledge of working on brand initiatives/projects that align with brand look and voice.Experience directing photo and video shoots.Excellent visual design skills.Excellent written communication and presentation skills.Ability to convey creative concepts to team members and key stakeholders.Strong time management skills and independent self-starter.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with limited resources while under challenging deadlines.Significant working experience with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat).Demonstrated experience in print, web, and social media.Awareness/interest in current/future digital trends.*Please attach your portfolio of design work to the application or add the link to your digital portfolio to your resume/application if possible for greater consideration*.

What's Our Offer?Salary Range: You`ll earn between $120,000 - $160,000 annually, depending on experience.Bonus: You`ll be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus up to 15% of base salary.Paid Time Off: You`ll accrue paid time off on a bi-weekly basis based on hours worked up to 152 hours per year to start. What Should You Expect?Hybrid: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Work environment is moderately quiet. Ability to work on computer for multiple hours with frequent interruptions.

SanMar's Eastpointe office is located near Seattle, WA and our standard working hours are 8:00-5:00 PST.
