Internal QA Review Lead

In this role, you will be responsible for managing workflow, ensuring the accuracy and consistency of audit findings and identifying training opportunities for QA team members. You will support QAs goal of providing timely, accurate, thorough and actionable feedback to internal and external customers. This is an individual contributor role, reporting to the Internal QA Manager.LOCATIONEnact Headquarters, Raleigh, NC Hybrid Schedule or Remote (US)YOUR RESPONSIBILITIESManage Internal QA audit processesManage team workflow ensuring internal and external SLAs are met

Provide second level review on auditor error findings to ensure accuracy and consistency; provide feedback to Auditors as needed to improve decision quality

Use expert knowledge to employ loan level discretion

Lead the feedback process to internal and external partners. Review Ops Manager error responses for any monthly escalation meetings; act as back-up to Team Manager to lead meetings, as required

Identify and implement opportunities to drive productivity and expand capacity through process enhancements

Perform Ad Hoc request for internal and external documentation review or reporting

Ability to audit MI files for accuracy as volume dictates

CommunicationAbility to communicate difficult messages to Operations Leaders and Teams, and instill confidence in our QA processes

Ability to effectively build relationships with and influence multiple Operations functions

Identify audit trends, training opportunities and MI/CS guideline clarifications to the appropriate business function for collaborative action plan development

Act as QA subject matter expert for Fannie/Freddie audits

Act as resource for Auditors to answer complex loan scenario questions

Internal QA Processes and SOPsLead projects, as required

Development and maintain Internal Team SOPs; Underwriting, Investigations and YCC.

Update/Maintain company-wide potential red flag resource document based on identified fraud trends

Conduct training of new audit

Ability to supply concise, condensed narrative when presenting a loan decision recommendation to Investigation committee

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS10+ years of Underwriting experience

Ability to work independently with minimal direction

Exhibit strong oral and written communication skills

Strong analytical, research, and organization skills

Must possess effective critical thinking skills

Excellent interpersonal skills

Strong Process oriented mindset

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)

General computer proficiency

Working knowledge or ability to quickly learn multiple Enact Internal Systems

Working knowledge of Loan Prospector, Desktop Underwriter, other automated underwriting system

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's Degree or equivalent

Previous Mortgage QC Experience

Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel

Ability to travel, occasionally, depending on business needs

ADDITIONALThe base salary pay range for this role starts at a minimum rate of $83,500 up to the maximum of $150,400. In addition to your base salary, you will also be eligible to participate in an incentive plan. The incentive plan is based on performance and the target earning opportunity is 15% of your base compensation. The final determination on base pay for this position will be based on multiple factors at the time of this job posting including but not limited to geographic location, experience, and qualifications to ensure pay equity within the organization.
