WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Opportunity to develop a career in our fast-paced industryUndergo training to allow progression to the next level of Install TechnicianDevelop knowledge of how to read and interpret architectural site drawings and audio-visual system diagramDevelop skills to coordinate tasks and activities onsite and communicate to the client and allied trades - Construction, Architect, Design, IT & FurnitureConduct accurate site survey to include progress of construction activities and required consumables for completion of installUnderstand the differences between various types of cables and then learn what connectors go with what types of cablesDevelop skills associated with termination of various connectors - Soldering, Crimp, CompressionTest terminated cables to ensure no dry joint in solder, or poor termination in compression/crimpDevelop awareness of tools required to properly terminate, and manage safekeeping of these toolsUnderstand how to use a cable pull schedule and physically pull cables in a construction environment - Including hanging, wrapping, socking and suitably supporting a variety of cablesPhysical install of a wide variety of mounting hardware in accordance with manufacture and construction guidelines - including bracketry for display, projectors, speakers, floormounts/standsPreparation of hardware for rackbuilding - include recording of asset dataDevelop skills for basic rackbuilding - including cable management, routing, labeling and cable support structuresMaintain an organized work environment with specific attention to cleanliness and organization of jobsiteResponsible for ownership and maintenance of issued toolkit and installation materials inventories while onsiteEnsure timesheets are accurately recorded daily and submitted via PaychexProvide daily reporting of site progress to site lead technician or project manager, along with photographsEOS is a global company and flexibility to travel globally is a must. In return we provide a fantastic opportunity to see the world while developing required skills to become a skilled technicianThis position requires overtime with last minute changes to schedulesAll the skills detailed above for an Associated Install Technician are the foundation for progression to Install Technician, further training and development offer the opportunity to become a Lead Install Technician, with the responsibility of managing larger more complex projects. This position will require up to 80% travel.
