Who You Are:
As a Strategy Director, Connections, you are a conceptual and strategic thinker, responsible for identifying and creating creative opportunities across a brand's end-to-end presence and experience that extend beyond advertising alone. With your peers across Strategy, Business and Creative, you are part of a well-oiled team, a leader and you act accordingly.
The Strategy Director, Connections is tasked with bringing modern, social and community-minded creative ideas to life. You thrive on building relationships with your IAT partners and clients, and leverage them to build and sell nontraditional ideas.
What You'll Do:Craft and lead exceptional Connections strategies that are idea-led, but crafted with a deep understanding of audiences. Design each project to live in optimal spaces across a brand's ecosystemBe a social expert; craft social strategies and briefs, inspiring creative work for planned moments, content series and campaign extensions. You're always aware of the latest platforms, units and trends, and your expertise makes you a trusted resource.Guide, inspire and shape creative: Translate audience and platform insights into inspiration for creatives and help design the work for social traction and earned media. Build on predetermined deliverables based on audience and idea-led opportunities.Build strong client rapport and relationshipsDrive IAT partnership & collaboration, specifically be the go-to point of contact for our media agency partnersMake sound media recommendations and be comfortable challenging when placements don't serve the idea and client business objectivesBe comfortable defining and building audience segmentations, shared mindsets and translating them into buying audiences within media contexts. Comfortable with GWI and translating data into audience personasParticipate in the hiring and management of the strategy teamBuild strong client and IAT rapport and relationshipsGive feedback in a timely mannerHave the ability to dial in and orchestrate the details, while understanding big picture strategic needsPreferred Qualifications:
8+ years of experience in strategy, media or connections planningAbility to work autonomously and demonstrate an understanding of how and where Connections can add valueTrack record of exceptional connections strategy outputs, ranging across audience segmentations, consumer journeys, social platbooks, influencer playbooks and briefs, ecosystems, briefs, frameworks and go-to-market plans. Ability to own and lead internal and external workshops and brainstorms.Mid-level and senior client-facing agency experience with prior exposure managing across robust client organizations is a must. Ability to build strong relationships across agency leads and create growth opportunities for Connections. Ability to harness your influence to sell-in and defend work, pushing creative work to be its very best.Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and written communication skills. Ability to write clear POV's, client-ready communication, and presentations.An advertising, marketing, media and creative enthusiast with a passion for social, pop culture and data.Literate in digital analytics (macro trends and website based), social listening, social publishing (Sprinklr, Hootsuite, ...), consumer databases (GWI, YouGov, ...).Knowledge of marketing channels and media mixes. Prior experience in media planning a plus

Location:
Given the nature of our Strategy team and the client assigned to this role, we are only considering candidates that currently live in or wish to relocate to New York City, in the near future (first 60 days of employment).
The annual salary range for this role is $170,000-$200,000 and may vary depending on the candidate's geographic location and experience. Other compensation includes relocation costs, if applicable.
