Basic Job Functions:
Accounting functions including general ledger, accounts payable, fixed assets, tax, financial and compliance reporting, forecasting, costing files, assisting with annual budget, monthly balancing, inventory management, and recording and timely reporting of accounting records/transactions, etc.Take a lead role in the implementation, communication, and interpretation of accounting and financial policies, control and system improvementsSupervise external and internal audit processes and ensure that proper internal controls are maintainedProvide analytical support to other departments as it relates to accounting issues and driving continuous cost improvements across all aspects of the business.Lead the training and development and growth opportunities for finance department teammates.Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business, or direct related work experienceMinimum of 5 years of accounting experiencePreferred Qualifications:
CPA and/or MBA preferredWorking knowledge of Power BI preferredManufacturing experience preferredLeadership/supervisory experience preferred
