The CEDAR Research Center at the Native American Community Clinic (NACC) is dedicated to community-based Indigenous wellness research, focusing on three critical areas including:

1.) cancer

2.) substance use disorders (SUD) and opioid use disorders (OUD), and

3.) political determinants of health, connection to land and culture.

Our center is committed to conducting research that respects and upholds the rights of Indigenous Peoples in research.

Position Overview

We are seeking a full-time Research Administrative Coordinator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting and coordinating various aspects of our research projects, ensuring smooth operations and effective communication among researchers, community partners, and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate administrative aspects of research projects, including scheduling meetings, managing timelines, and ensuring deadlines are met.Assist with grant applications and management, including budget tracking and expense reporting.Liaise between researchers, community partners, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth communication and project progress.Manage and organize research data, maintaining databases and ensuring data security protocols are followed.Prepare and edit research-related documents such as reports, presentations, and correspondence.Coordinate logistics for community engagement activities, focus groups, and other research events.Assist with Institutional Review Board (IRB) submissions and maintain compliance with research ethics guidelines, particularly those pertaining to Indigenous research.Support the recruitment and onboarding of research participants and study volunteers.Maintain inventory of research supplies and equipment, and coordinate purchases as needed.Provide general administrative support to the research team, including calendar management and travel arrangements.

QualificationsBachelor's degree requiredDemonstrated experience coordinating large research projectsKnowledge about the unique rights of Indigenous Peoples in researchStrong skills in grant administration and budgetingProficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Outlook and ExcelExcellent organizational and time management skillsStrong communication skills and ability to work with diverse communitiesExperience working with Indigenous communities preferredFamiliarity with health research, particularly in areas of cancer, substance use disorders, or community health, is a firm qualificationRequired Skills

Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyStrong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environmentAbility to work independently and take initiativeExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProficiency in data management and basic statistical software is beneficial
