Job DescriptionPrepare timely and accurate financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) for both internal and external reporting.Perform regular tasks associated with the accounting close each month such as account analysis, recording accruals, reclassifications and general journal entries.Perform account reconciliations, verifying accuracy of data and correcting errors.Assist with budget and forecasting process utilizing specific software to develop a collaborative product for management and ownership.Assist with financial models using historical information and other operating metrics in support of business expansion.Develop customized financial reports as requested by management by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.Maintain monthly schedules and commentary to support specific general ledger accounts and variances with prior year and budget.Supports internal 'customers' (departments) with data analysis needs.Responds to ad hoc requests as needed.Performs all other job duties as assigned.

Experience and Skills
B.S./B.A. in Accounting3+ years of accounting experienceStrong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)Excel expertise needed; SAP Business Objects EPM and Microsoft Dynamics Navision experience is a plusAble to work independently and with othersConsistently seeks process improvementEffective communicatorPossesses problem solving skillsDetail oriented, organizedUnderstanding and exposure to all financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, statement of cash flows)Prior experience with the General Ledger including, accruals, prepaids, recurring journal entries and reclassification journal entriesPrior experience with close processInter-company processing experience is a plus
