Summary : The Kitchen Cook Lead plays an essential role in the production of gummies; the Kitchen Cook Lead is responsible for both mixing, blending, and cooking the gummy formulations according to the Master Manufacturing Record as well as providing guidance to the other kitchen cooks. Working very closely with the machine operators, this role ensures that all ingredients have been weighed correctly, are mixed properly, added to the equipment in the correct order, and meet all the specifications outlined in the MMR. This role is also responsible for ensuring that PBR entries are made correctly and in a compliant fashion. This role is also responsible for coordinating with the warehouse and the weigh & dispense team to ensure that materials are staged and ready for seamless production activities. The Kitchen Cook Lead is critical in ensuring consistent product makes it to the depositor every time, resulting in reproducible results and customer satisfaction.

Following cGMPs (current Good Manufacturing Practices)Moving bulk materialsManual mixing and adding ingredientsIn-process checksUse of pH meter, temperature probe, scalesPeer weight verificationProviding guidance and instruction to other kitchen cooksTaking passdown information from previous shifts and providing passdown information to subsequent shiftsMinor equipment and process troubleshootingSupporting with NCR investigationsFollowing and enforcing all food safety, HACCP, and quality requirementsOverseeing other kitchen cook schedules and activities to assist the supervisor with ensuring breaks and lunches are taken at the right times and for the right length of time.Requesting, receiving, and handling materials from warehouseBasic kitchen equipment operationScanning materials in ERP (Enterprise resource planning system)Reading MMR (Master Manufacturing Record)Filling out Kitchen portion of batch recordComplete various trainings such as corporate, job specific, and cross trainingCleaning kitchen equipment, utensils, tools, & containersChemical mixing & handlingLine ClearanceMaintenance & Calibration work order creationSafety InspectionsDaily & weekly tasks such as mopping, refilling PPE (personal protective equipment), self-inspections (facility)Qualifications/Education/Experience:

Previous food, pharmaceutical, and/or dietary supplement production and manufacturing experience required. Experience with gummy manufacturing preferred.Minimum High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
