Job Summary and Overview / Essential Duties:
The Compensation Valuation Analyst will work within a team project environment and will act as support for the compensation valuation team. This support will include participating in client and internal calls and project planning, reviewing client and industry benchmark data, developing analytical models, performing market analysis/research, and draft reports or other client deliverable documents. Representative clients will include both private and public entities in the healthcare industry and may be hospitals and health systems, physician groups, ancillary clinics, publicly traded companies, etc. Analyst will work closely with several team members and will report to a manager, director, or principal for each project.
Responsibilities:
Provides guidance and leadership to employees regarding daily tasks and activitiesAbility to prioritize and manage concurrent projects, demonstrating strong initiativeWork independently with limited supervisionSupervises employees who perform similar work or tasksMay also perform the same work as those supervisedMay participate in performance evaluationsClient Management Activities:
Committed to staying at the cutting edge of healthcare regulations, financial best practices and ethical standards to be responsive to client needs and demandsMeets client deadlines and expectationsParticipates in client calls - takes quick action to client complaints about an issue / practice empathyActively listens to client needs to begin to identify opportunities for service expansionQualification Requirements:
Bachelor's / master's degree in finance, accounting, statistics or business / healthcare administrationMinimum 1 year of physician compensation and / or valuation experience.Confident aptitude in quantitative and qualitative analysis, and industry terminologyDemonstrates advanced techniques to perform technical physician compensation valuations and data analysis methods / develops models independentlyExcellent analytical, project-management, communication, interpersonal, and team skillsTranslates data into client deliverable/ work productIndependent judgment is required to complete work assignmentsDemonstrates a collaborative work style, and shares solutions to questions & problemsProficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced excel skill set.Willingness and ability to travel (5% - 10%).
