Service Manager

As a Service Manager you will be joining a reputable HVAC and plumbing company located in Raleigh, NC. In this role you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the service team, focusing on customer satisfaction, team productivity, and adherence to safety standards. The ideal candidate has hands-on technical knowledge, leadership ability, and a commitment to maintaining customer service excellence.

Responsibilities:- Lead and support a team of HVAC/R technicians, installers, and dispatchers to ensure high-quality service and customer satisfaction.- Act as the primary customer contact, addressing inquiries and resolving service-related issues.- Coordinate with dispatch to optimize technician schedules and job assignments.- Provide training and guidance to keep the team current with industry standards and practices.- Develop and manage departmental goals, budgets, and performance benchmarks.- Maintain inventory levels by coordinating with vendors for timely stock of parts and tools.- Assist with recruiting, onboarding, and training new team members to build a cohesive service department.- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.

Job Requirements

Requirements:- 8+ years in HVAC/R service with at least 3 years in a management role.- In-depth knowledge of HVAC/R systems, including heating/cooling calculations, duct design, combustion analysis, and code compliance.- Strong communication, customer service, and conflict resolution skills.- Proven ability to manage, motivate, and train a team effectively.- Exceptional multitasking, detail orientation, and proficiency with office technology.- Valid driver's license is required.- HVAC licensing and a college degree are preferred.
