Global Account Manager

Position Description: The Global Account Manager (GAM) participates in a virtual account team-selling environment, providing the Prospect/Customer with the primary point of contact and relationship owner within Minitab. In this capacity, the GAM will assume the ownership role for their named global accounts, developing strategic cross-sell and up-sell strategies for existing customers and penetration strategies for new prospects. This includes coordination globally of Minitab resources to ensure proper pricing strategy, messaging and positioning across all divisions and subsidiaries of their named global accounts. In addition, the GAM will facilitate and maintain successful relationships with customers at all levels, which will be measured by their reference ability, customer satisfaction levels and increased revenue levels. Expected travel for on-site meetings with customers/prospects/partners is 50-70% and may include international travel.

Experience:

  • 10+ years of enterprise software sales experience in information technology market required with average deal size greater than 250K. Consistent achievement of 100%+ on assigned quotas with history of 7 figure deals.
  • Previous success in handling large global (over 10B USD) accounts over lengthy sales cycles
  • (6-12 months) in a fast paced, consultative and competitive market strongly required.
  • Executive level relationship selling experiences a must. Effective in selling both product and services.
  • Sales management is a plus.
  • Business Intelligence and or Statistical Analytics experience is a plus

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • General familiarity with structured value based and/or consultative selling methodologies and processes required.
