Job Summary
The Forklift Driver, Outlet supports all outlet production efforts in the supply and removal of products, pallets, and all forklift-required transporting. The Forklift Driver operates a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. In addition, the Forklift Driver loads and unloads truck deliveries utilizing forklifts, pallet jacks, and double stackers. This role is accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the forklift and performs order picking, loading and unloading, and checking.
Hours of Operation: 7 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Monday thru Saturday and 11 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Sunday
Example Duties and Activities
Unloads inbound shipments safely and moves products to storage locations. Efficiently stacks and stores the merchandise in the appropriate areas.
Ensures inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage. Reports quality variances.
Pulls and prepares products for shipment, ensuring that the exact number and type of product is loaded and shipped. Performs picking duties in an efficient manner that meets customer service standards.
Efficiently moves products from staging and/or storage areas into trailers. Loads, unloads, moves, stacks, and stages products and materials using a forklift, clamp truck, or other power equipment. Loads and unloads materials with proper loading techniques and weight distribution.
Maintains the facility's equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion. On a daily basis, inspects and performs minor maintenance on the forklift or other equipment. Records safety inspections on equipment. Operates all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods.
Keeps appropriate records and reports to guarantee that tight inventory control and security are maintained. Assists in physical inventories. Ensures proper stock rotation.
Maintains a clean, neat, and orderly work area. Assists in maintaining the security of the warehouse. Conducts operations in a manner that promotes safety. Complies with OSHA and SDS Standards.
Performs or assists in building, grounds, and equipment maintenance as required.
Maintains forklift certification. Operates gas and electric forklifts, as well as a pallet jack, and double stacker.
Manages effective communication with other retail leadership staff and support staff.
Required Competencies
Degree and Credential Requirements - Current Forklift Operator certification or ability to obtain.
Knowledge of Warehouse Processes - Possesses familiarity with receiving, putaway, storage, picking, packing, and shipping to ensure continuous efficient warehousing operations.
Teamwork- Works well with others and makes valued contributions to the outputs of others in order to assist the team or project to achieve the required outputs.
Communication Skills - Gives full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to recognize the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times. Mathematical Aptitude - Is able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Computes rate, ratio, and percent and draws and interprets bar graphs; skid counts, carton counts, and computing total quantities.
Adaptability - Adjusts priorities quickly in response to frequently changing circumstances while maintaining a positive attitude. Continually assesses tasks and responds to those requiring extra attention. Foresees and seeks to avoid crisis management.
Safety Awareness - Recognizes the risks in activities, applies the right measures to control and manage those risks, and ensures all safety protocols are followed.
Reasoning Ability - Ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Preferred Competencies
Technical Knowledge - Has familiarity with computers and relevant software including basic computer and Internet navigation skills.

Hard to Very Hard Physical Work - Is able to spend time in excess of 8 hours standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crawling, and crouching. Uses hands to finger, handle, or feel; reaches with hands and arms. Can climb, balance, talk and hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Can manage frequent exposure to loud noises, outside weather conditions, and moving mechanical parts. Will be occasionally exposed to fumes, airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals. There is a risk of electrical shock and vibration.
Visual Acuity - Has close, distance, peripheral, color vision abilities, and is able to adjust focus.
