An exciting opportunity to join The Emily Hotel and Level Hotels & Furnished Suites sales team in Chicago, IL. This position is responsible for assisting with sales activities for our four Chicagoland properties; Level Old Town, Level River North, Level Fulton Market, and The Emily Hotel. Social, Military, Educational, Religious, and Fraternal market segments. Level offers 190 fully furnished luxury suites ranging from studios to penthouses. The Emily Hotel offers 159 modern rooms and suites.

What Will You Do?
  • Knowledge of both groups, SMERF and leisure segments.
  • The Sales Manager is responsible for assisting the sales department in achieving revenue and customer satisfaction goals by efficiently and effectively coordinating all sales efforts.
  • Balance room type inventory for current and future dates, manage oversold room types, and identify upgrades to create inventory to maximize revenue.
  • Identify prospective clientele and actively solicit new business, effectively negotiating new accounts to maximize segment profitability.
  • Actively engage in the local community as it benefits the hotels through approved memberships in organizations, charitable activities, and business community events.
  • Support Sales Team in solicitation (via phone and email), qualifying, maintaining, and servicing new and existing business for all vertical sales segments.
  • Qualify and respond to all incoming sales leads, calls, and emails. Responding or forwarding to the appropriate sales team member with accuracy in a timely and in a professional manner.
  • Support Sales Team in the execution of contracts, leases and other client agreements as assigned.
  • Prepare sales proposals incorporating clearly defined terms and conditions.
  • Effectively and efficiently following up on proposals, contracts, appointments, and all assigned tasks.
  • Organize and track sales activities to maximize results in our CRM systems.
  • Maintains an accurate inventory of sales collateral and promotional materials.
  • The Sales Manager will communicate with other departments as requested by the Director of Sales and/or Senior Sales Manager, and General Manager.
  • Support internal meeting preparation, creative projects, site inspections, VIP stays, amenity program, trade shows, travel fairs, and special event invitations, etc.
  • Daily communication and coordination with other departments. Key departmental contacts include all hotel departments. s
  • Works closely with front office/concierge, reservations, housekeeping, finance and engineering teams to ensure all suite details are accurate and complete.
  • Adhere to established goals and objectives, reporting guidelines consistently, completing all projects assigned in an accurate and thorough manner.
  • Follow up with clients regularly during and after departure to ensure satisfaction and secure future bookings and other contacts as needed (SMERF Segments).
  • Assist potential clients by giving tours and gathering information as needed.
  • Manage confidential information with discretion and respect of privacy to high profile guests.
  • Promote awareness of brand image internally and externally.
  • This position may also perform duties assigned by the Director of Sales, Senior Sales Manager and General Manager.
What You Bring:
  • Minimum 1 year being a sales manager or 2+ years of hotel sales experience, preferably in an upscale brand hotel.
  • Must be able to work independently and simultaneously manage multiple tasks.
  • Must be able to communicate information and ideas clearly. Able to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to handle everyday situations quickly and effectively.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow-through, courtesy, cooperativeness, and work with minimal supervision.
  • Commitment to exceeding guest/client expectations.
  • Proficient knowledge of computer applications. Microsoft Office Tools: Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word. HMS(PMS) a plus.
  • Evenings, weekends, and/or holidays may be required as business needs warrant.
