Compensation: $90,000 - $115,000 / year

Description

The HR Business Partner at Verus will play a strategic role in partnering with senior leadership and managers to drive talent management, employee engagement, compensation strategies, and organizational design initiatives. This position will focus on aligning HR strategies with business objectives to enhance overall organizational effectiveness and foster a culture of continuous improvement and growth. This position is located in Bloomington, MN and will be required to work a hybrid schedule in the office.

Responsibilities and Duties:

1. Talent Management and Strategic Partnerships:
  • Meet with senior leadership monthly and managers on a quarterly basis to understand the needs of the business, provide coaching, and offer strategic Human Resources (HR) guidance.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to leaders on talent development, succession planning, and workforce planning.
  • Partner with the Learning and Development team to identify skill gaps and measure the impact of initiatives that enhance employee competencies and career growth.
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Conduct thorough and objective investigations and provide guidance to managers on conflict resolution.
  • Promote effective 1:1s and build a culture of real-time feedback and continuous development.

2. Employee Engagement:
  • Lead the planning and execution of the annual employee engagement survey, analyze results, and present key findings to senior leadership.
  • Develop and implement action plans based on survey results to improve employee engagement and organizational culture.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance the employee experience and promote a positive workplace environment.

3. Compensation and Performance Management:
  • Conduct compensation surveys and benchmarking exercises to ensure competitive salary structures that align with market trends and organizational goals.
  • Build compensation structures that reward performance, support retention, and attract top talent.
  • Spearhead the bi-annual performance management cycle, including goal-setting, performance reviews, and feedback processes.
  • Develop tools and resources to promote effective 1:1s and real-time feedback, ensuring managers and employees are aligned on expectations and growth opportunities.

4. Organizational Design and Change Management:
  • Assist in the design and implementation of organizational changes, including restructuring, workforce planning, and change management initiatives.
  • Collaborate with leadership to create communication plans that support smooth transitions during times of change.
  • Use HR metrics and analytics to provide insights into organizational trends and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide regular reports and insights to management on HR-related trends, issues, and best practices to drive data-driven decision-making.

5. HR Analytics and Reporting:
  • Utilize HR metrics and analytics to identify trends, track progress, and develop strategic initiatives that align with business objectives.
  • Prepare and present regular reports to senior leadership on workforce analytics, engagement trends, and other HR data to inform decision-making.


Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field; HR certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus.
  • 7+ years of experience as an HR business partner, talent management, compensation, and organizational development.
  • Strong knowledge of compensation analysis, benchmarking, and performance management best practices.
  • Proven experience leading employee engagement initiatives and driving action plans based on survey results.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and coach leaders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret HR metrics and data to support business decisions.
  • Experience in change management, organizational design, and workforce planning.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and data analysis tools; experience with Rippling and Salesforce is a plus.
