JOB FUNCTION / SUMMARY:
Responsible for the management, administration, and growth of all Personal Trust assets and activities within the assigned region by performing duties personally or through subordinate supervisors and/or associates.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manages administrative unit responsible for the administration of personal trust accounts.
- Formulates and implements business development plans within the region for the trust department.
- Coordinates business development and client retention activities with other areas of bank.
- Integrates other trust business units such as financial, estate planning, retirement plans, and institutions sales within business development process.
- Represents trust department in regional and community activities and/or on boards and committees related to business or charitable institutions for which the trust department provides a service.
- Develops and implements policies and programs of the personal trust department.
- Ensures policies and procedures of personal trust department are followed in the administration of client accounts.
- Serves as Chairman of Trust Administrative Committee in the absence of the Personal Trust Manager.
- May be responsible for coordinating activities of other trust business units within the region and community.
- Supports the Personal Trust Manager concerning staffing, performance evaluations, promotions, salary recommendations, and terminations.

MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance or Accounting.
- 7 years of experience in Trust Administration
- Advanced knowledge of Trust administration and operations.
- Thorough understanding of the banking industry and operations.
- Advanced knowledge of regulations applicable to the trust industry.
- Detail orientated with strong analytical skills
- Strong written communication skills
- Ability to work with minimum supervision
ESSENTIAL MENTAL & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to work under stress and meet deadlines
- Ability to operate a keyboard if required to perform the essential job functions
- Ability to read and interpret a document if required to perform the essential job functions
- Ability to travel if required to perform the essential job functions
- Ability to lift/move/carry approximately 20 pounds if required to perform the essential job functions. If the employee is unable to lift/move/carry this weight and can be accommodated without causing the department/division an "undue hardship" then the employee must be accommodated; hence omitting lifting/moving/carrying as a physical requirement.
