As a Senior Marketing Automation Specialist, you'll lead the technical design and implementation of multichannel marketing and transactional journeys. You'll use data driven insights to plan, configure and deploy marketing emails, SMS, Direct Mail and push notifications through the marketing automation platform. You'll ensure data quality, follow email deliverability and compliance best practices, develop SQL based automations and create reports to analyze engagement metrics providing recommendations for optimization.

About the Role
  • Lead the solution design and implementation of complex omni-channel journeys, testing and analysis of associated marketing metrics
  • Lead conversations with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements for marketing automation initiatives and to share opportunities for improvement
  • Execute email, SMS, direct mail and push notification campaigns ensuring timely delivery, accuracy and personalized messaging
  • Monitor automation and journey performance ensuring successful journey activation and to identify solutions for continuous optimization
  • Configure and maintain integrations between the marketing automation platform and other data and source systems.
  • Lead direction for digital solutions to solve complex business problems and articulate the business value leveraging data and conversion metrics
  • Lead collaboration efforts with data partners to develop and optimize audience data models supporting omni-channel campaigns
  • Write and optimize advanced SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze large datasets for segmentation or campaign reporting and analysis
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for journeys and automations post-deployment
  • Write and maintain technical documentation relating to all channels, solutions, incident responses, and process
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams providing technical leadership and direction to influence multi-channel journey design
  • Proactively identify problems and create solutions or process efficiencies across all digital marketing channels
  • Lead QA practices and perform thorough testing on all journeys, automations, etc. to ensure accuracy when campaigns launch.
  • Be a leader in leveraging company approved AI tools to innovate, drive efficiency and optimization
  • Be a technical lead on all migrations to or integrations with the marketing automation platform
  • Allocate time weekly to personal development and opportunities for innovation
  • Lead creation and implementation of technical processes on the team, mentor peers and foster a culture of growth and learning
  • Stay up to date on industry best practices, emerging trends, tooling and skills in digital marketing and Marketing Technology, and leading these opportunities withing the team
  • Uphold CAN-SPAM and other email and SMS regulatory and compliance laws


About You

Minimum Qualifications:
  • 5 years of experience working with Salesforce Marketing Cloud or similar marketing automation platforms
  • Expert-level understanding of email marketing principles, email deliverability, industry best practices and engagement metrics and demonstrated proficiency in MarTech analytic tools
  • Proficiency with Short Message Service (SMS) principles, best practices, engagement metrics, and compliance
  • Expert-level proficiency writing SQL, Python or a related language for data querying, analysis, segmentation or audience building
  • Expert level ability leading A/B testing methodologies, making data driven decisions and demonstrated use of Salesforce Einstein
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional technical projects and peer mentorship
  • Proficiency in creating detailed channel reports for stakeholders and presenting findings and recommendations
  • Proficiency creating data models in marketing automation tools for audience management, campaign measurement, or data configuration, and ensuring synchronicity with customer relationship management (CRM) or source systems
  • Deep understanding of email security protocols (SPF/DKIM, DMARC), CAN-SPAM, GDPR, CCPA, CTIA or other email or SMS compliance laws.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication and analytic skills, ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, communicate complex information in a simple way and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Marketing or 5 years of experience in a related field
  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud Email Specialist Certification
  • Expert level proficiency in marketing automation platforms and in designing and implementing complex multichannel journeys.
  • Expert-level experience with data modeling, analysis, and leveraging customer data platform (CDP) for audience development and management
  • Proficiency designing and developing automations for Short Message Service (SMS), Push Notifications, In-App messages, and Direct Mail
  • Experience with HTML/CSS, and JSON and proficiency writing AMPscript, JavaScript or other scripting languages
  • Expert-level proficiency in writing technical and process documentation
  • Experience with source control, git flow, pull requests and related processes in GitHub, AzureDevOps or a related tool
  • Proficency using company approved AI tools to innovate, optimize and drive efficiencies
  • Proficiency with building hyper personalized omni-channel journeys, for web (landing pages), email, Direct Mail, SMS, Push Notifications, In-App and or other digital marketing channels
  • Expert understanding of data ingestion, APIs, and marketing technology integrations into source systems
  • Expert level understanding of Performance Marketing, revenue or production type metrics
  • Experience using project management systems like Azure DevOps, Monday.com, Jira, ServiceNow, WorkFront, etc. and Agile processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, Lucid, Confluence, PowerBI, Amplitude or similar tools
  • Previous experience working in Fin-Tech organizations, specifically in mortgage, real estate or financial service industries
