Title: Senior Clean Energy and Infrastructure Analyst
Location: Remote US or Hybrid/Flexible schedule based in Reston, Virginia
Portfolio: Energy International Development/Energy Markets, Modeling, and
Analysis (EMMA)
ICF is seeking a detail-orientated energy consultant to join our expanding energy team in the areas of electricity and grid infrastructure issues in support of federal clients' mission to expand the infrastructure required to transform the nation's electricity system. You will contribute to the development of innovative, analytical, high-quality products and services, typically working on multiple projects with all levels of staff. The team's primary services involve conducting research, data tracking and analysis, and market analysis to inform clients decision-making and program development. Topics may include barriers to clean energy development, reviewing power market and transmission analyses, reviewing and assessing energy market related trends including literature reviews and original research.
The successful candidate will have strong quantitative skills necessary for supporting program development and evaluation, economic impact analysis, with equally strong research, policy analysis, and writing skills to contribute to policy papers and technical background documents. The successful candidate will have experience working in teams and directing the work of junior staff.

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.
The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:
$84,533.00 - $173,884.00

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide detailed fact finding, research, and analysis on energy-related activities related to energy markets, infrastructure and energy/environmental policies affecting the energy sector with a focus on grid modernization, renewable energy, customer programs, new business models, and sustainability
- Collect, analyze and document data for modeling or analytic projects; develop analytical methods, databases, and spreadsheet models to support policy analysis and general program support.
- Review energy-related studies, research and market events to identify the prospects of changes in regulations and other market-related developments that may affect the nation's infrastructure
- Create written documents that convey key analytic findings for distribution to internal/external clients and/or present findings verbally to clients
- Develop reports, presentations and other documents to convey key analytic findings to internal and external clients; presenting results; develop recommendations and interact regularly with clients
- Working effectively with colleagues and client staff as part of a project team; work independently as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in Economics, Science, Engineering or related subjects.
- 5+ years of full-time professional work experience in Clean Energy and Infrastructure or related fields (non-academic/post degree).
- 5+ years of full-time professional work experience (non-academic/post degree) in industry topics such as: renewable energy, electric transmission and distribution infrastructure, and wholesale power markets.
- Experience with electric/energy grid and quantitative and analysis skills including energy/power markets modeling.
- Experience working with DOE/prior consulting experience.
- US Citizenship is required.
