Manager of Ice Casting & Performance

Working with the Ice Casting Director, provides support to recruiting efforts of all artistic talent for 'Feld Entertainment' ice show units. Works closely with the ice show touring units to monitor and guide Skaters and Performance Directors artistically and technically to maintain the production elements on each of the ice shows.

Essential Functions

• Assist the Ice Casting Director in the recruitment and casting of all skaters, acrobats, hosts, and performers for all FEI's Ice Shows. Responsible for providing on-going feedback once hired through show visits or video review based on overall performance, skating, and technical elements.
• Maintains existing and develops new relationships and programs within the skating community, while educating them on the opportunities within Feld Entertainment.
• In partnership with Operations and the Ice Casting Director, provide support, mentor, coach, train and identify Performance Directors. Fill in as a Performance Director as required, and work with show staff on performance consistency, onboarding, and HR.
• As part of the Character Development team, facilitate approvals for required ice show characters, and maintain records of which performers have been approved and properly trained.
• Supports the Performance Directors with development of characters and understudies and works in conjunction with them and the creative team when changes to a production are needed.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of amateur and professional figure skating is essential. At least 3 to 5 years' experience working with a professional ice show in a leadership role.
• Knowledge of Disney animated & Live-Action films & characters.
• Must have knowledge of and/or membership in professional figure skating organizations or be a participant in the global coaching community.
• Ability to travel globally as required.

Skills & Abilities

• Former professional or amateur skater with extensive knowledge and understanding of ice shows and performance techniques.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Prior experience in management, leadership, coaching, and mentoring with strong interpersonal skills.
• Working knowledge of PC and/or Mac computers, Excel, and databases.

International Touring Personnel
