What Does a Medicare Sales Representative Do?
A Medicare Sales Representative focuses on helping people who are eligible for Medicare find a plan that meets their needs and aids them with the enrollment process. Your responsibilities include working with seniors to determine their eligibility for Medicare benefits. You also work with other groups, such as those with disabilities, to determine if they qualify for Medicare and to choose a healthcare plan that meets their needs. You perform your sales duties following the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Medicare marketing guidelines.

What Does a Medicare Sales Representative Do?
A Medicare Sales Representative focuses on helping people who are eligible for Medicare find a plan that meets their needs and aids them with the enrollment process. Your responsibilities include working with seniors to determine their eligibility for Medicare benefits. You also work with other groups, such as those with disabilities, to determine if they qualify for Medicare and to choose a healthcare plan that meets their needs. You perform your sales duties following the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Medicare marketing guidelines.
Your Day-to-Day:
- Our exclusive marketing initiative provides you with qualified leads at no cost allowing you to spend your time where your passion is - meeting with prospective clients.
- Our Lead Program pinpoints the areas where plans are most competitive which gives you the advantage to enroll more clients.
- You sell need-based products to help clients choose benefits to secure their financial future.
- Meet with seniors one on one and facilitate exceptional client relationships which are the lifeblood of our company.
- Meet in homes, virtually online, in community centers, senior and retirement centers, and by telephone to help explain the benefits of their current plans and policies and find solutions to their needs.
- Engage in our comprehensive ongoing training which sets you up for continued success as an insurance producer.
Compensation:
- Performance-based compensation (monthly stipend depends on experience) that includes commissions and residual income with lifetime vesting. No commission cap. Avg 1st Year Earnings - $75k to $90k, for 1st Year Top Producers $120k to $140k.
- Potential to earn quarterly incentives/bonuses based on production.
Qualifications (required):
- Medicare Advantage experience is a must.
- Active Washington Life and Health Insurance License and AHIP Certification.
- 2+ years related work experience - Medicare and/or Medicaid sales experience.
- E&O insurance will be required upon contracting.

- Demonstrated ability to establish professional relationships within community, leaders, non-profit organizations, providers.
- Prior community outreach and/or marketing experience.
- Salesforce and Sunfire Matrix proficient. Tech savvy with Zoom and all Microsoft products.
- Knowledge of Medicare supplement and PDP products.
- Have established book of business within sales territory.
- Entrepreneurial spirit, results-oriented, driven self-starter.
- Motivated, positive team builder with exceptional interpersonal skills.
