As a Tax Manager, you value working closely with others to plan for the future and to help successful medical practice clients and their owners coordinate tax strategies, avoid surprises and achieve success.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage tax advisory services and providing thoughtful tax compliance to medical practice clients in accordance with firm and professional standards, within budget and deadline expectations
  • Assist with managing, developing, and coaching professional tax staff
  • Plan and schedule tax engagements with clients and firm resources
  • Participate in and provide leadership for firm initiatives and projects
  • Helping to develop, build and manage client relationships
  • Communicate proactively with clients and engagement partners regarding project status, client service opportunities, and other significant matters in a timely manner
  • Develop deep industry knowledge within the healthcare industry
  • Participate in the proposal process for prospective clients and serve as the main tax point of contact within our firm for clients


Qualifications:
  • 5 years or more of relevant progressive experience in public accounting tax including technical tax consulting and client relationship management
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
  • CPA license
  • Experience managing multiple client engagements with ability and passion for developing and fostering deep relationships with key clients
  • A strong sense of ownership for delivering ultra-responsive client service
  • Excellent supervisory, team building, and time management skills
  • Strong written and oral communication
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe, Caseware, depreciation processing software, Tax preparation software (Axcess), Tax research software (RIA), and Go File Room is strongly desired
