Hospitalist Veterinarian (ICU and Inpatient)

Summit Veterinary Referral Center, is currently seeking a Full-Time Veterinary Hospitalist to join its dynamic and expanding team! Become an integral part of our collaborative group of specialists in our cutting-edge facility, conveniently located in Tacoma.

The Position:

As a Veterinary Hospitalist at Summit Veterinary Referral Center, you will work closely with our emergency and critical care department. Your primary responsibility will involve receiving transfers from emergency veterinarians that necessitate hospitalization. Patients may be transferred on the same day, the following day, or discharged after your evaluation. Additionally, you will handle minor follow-up appointments categorized as "same-day emergencies" and low acuity emergencies, such as urgent care cases.

Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate for this position will have completed an internship or possess a minimum of two years of professional experience as an Emergency Veterinarian before applying to Summit Veterinary Referral Center. We value candidates who demonstrate collaboration, friendliness, and compassion. You'll be supported by an exceptional team of CSR's, Assistants, and Technicians, fostering a collaborative environment to deliver the highest quality treatment and care to our patients and clients.

Work Schedule:

The schedule for this position predominantly comprises weekends with some weekday needs, on occasion, from 7:30 am - 7:00 pm.
