Senior Support Engineer

Location: United States

Mirion Technologies is seeking a highly motivated
Senior Support Engineer who can:
  • Provide expertise in gamma spectroscopy analysis and interpretation.
  • Provide high level support on application specific software products, both at the user and application level via phone, electronically or at customer sites.
  • Provide consulting services for Mirion products: such as customized software and/or reports.
  • Be comfortable providing training for Mirion products.


JOB DUTIES
  • Develop customized software solutions and reports to Mirion software packages based on customer requests.
  • Implement custom software or reports at Mirion or customer site.
  • Gather requirements for custom Training and Services and estimate effort.
  • Write software applications to integrate Mirion hardware/software into other third party systems.
  • Provide hardware/software support to customers as well as Mirion Services and Sales Engineers.
  • Provide training for Apex-Gamma, Apex-InVivo, Genie 2000 platforms and other Mirion software packages.
  • Enter problem reports for software and hardware issues when required.
  • Initiate ideas for new service offerings including justification of products through economic analysis and market analysis.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Strong technical knowledge of the Mirion products and applications. Of importance: Genie 2000, Apex-Gamma, Apex-InVivo, ISOCS, LabSOCS, HORIZON software, among others.
  • Working knowledge of gamma spectroscopy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with programming and SQL Server.
  • Self-starter with ability to learn new products and skills as needed.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills.
  • Ability to interact professionally and diplomatically with a variety of co-workers and customers.
  • Ability for up to 70% travel.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lb unassisted.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Ten or more years' experience with products applications in a nuclear environment.
  • B.S. in Engineering, Physics, Math or a closely related field, or 10+ years related application experience.
