Join ASCO's Finance Department in a new and exciting role as a Senior Revenue Accountant! The hire will effectively administer the organization's revenue recognition processes, financial reporting, and revenue cycle management. The successful hire will ensure that revenue is recorded accurately and in compliance with GAAP and applicable regulations for non-profit organizations while having the opportunity to collaborate with stakeholders and technical teams.

Responsibilities
- Review revenue contracts and agreements to understand the operational and accounting impacts to support compliance with U.S. GAAP revenue recognition rules.
- Register contracts and sales orders, respectively in Projects module and Order Management module in Oracle.
- Evaluate new products and services to determine the appropriate revenue recognition.
- Make recommendations to improve revenue operations and procedures, including identifying process efficiencies and support implementation of process improvements and/or automation.
- Perform monthly and quarterly reconciliations and journal entries in support of the monthly close process.
- Interact with technical teams to test, implement, and communicate process solutions and enhancements regarding the Order to Cash process and its various system integrations, including quarterly Oracle releases.
- Liaison with Financial Planning & Analysis, Accounting, and revenue generating departments to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the monthly revenue reporting
- Prepare ad-hoc financial reports, when requested, by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
- Assist with gathering and preparing schedules for internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent years of experience
- 5 years of experience in accounting and/or revenue operations
- Experienced in reviewing contracts and agreements and applying revenue recognition knowledge, including knowledge of ASC 606 to maximize revenue recognition within the boundaries of U.S. GAAP
- Experience performing full-function accounting duties
- Thorough understanding of multiple revenue streams, including donations, membership, grants, program revenue, meetings, exhibits, advertising and other non-profit initiatives
Preferred Education and Experience
- Certified Public Accounting designation
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience and technical expertise with financial management systems, such as Oracle Cloud ERP
- Smartsheet experience
