Position SummaryWe are seeking a thorough Senior Accountant to join our team and help ensure the integrity of the financial statements by recording, verifying, consolidating and entering accounting information in accordance with the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). We have a commitment to excellence and are looking for a strong analytical mindset to support our financial operations accurately and timely.
  • Assist in preparing and analyzing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports
  • Oversee the reconciliation of assigned general ledger accounts
  • Analyze accounting records to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to GAAP, produce operational reports as needed
  • Collect and analyze data about the company's manufacturing and production costs
  • Perform cost analysis on purchase and production actual costs versus standard costs
  • Support internal and external audit processes, ensuring the timely submission of required documents and compliance with audit standards
  • Assist in preparation of all sales tax returns
  • Backup and assist staff accountant and accounts payable as needed
  • Coordinate and organize the month end process
  • Partner with Controller and CFO to develop and identify policies/documentation to improve accounting processes, efficiency, and accuracy in financial reporting
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned required

Knowledge & Skills
  • Auditing experience preferred
  • Experience with inventory management and cost accounting in a manufacturing setting preferred
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, preferrable Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaborate and work effectively across departments


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
  • Minimum of five years' relevant experience required
  • In-depth knowledge of GAAP, cost accounting, and financial analysis
  • Experience with ERP systems, and accounting software
