SUMMARY:
The person in this position assists in managing the tax function and meeting internal and external departmental deadlines. He or she supports multinational planning and research.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
REQUIRED SKILLS AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to deal effectively with all levels
• Knowledge of and ability to research tax matters (BNA and CCH experience preferred)
• Understanding of US GAAP accounting for income tax principles (ASC 740, formerly known as FAS 109, FIN 48)
• Experience with US multinational tax compliance and planning
• Ability to analyze and apply tax knowledge to complex tax issues and communicate findings in plain English to management
• Strong computer skills, especially in Excel and for performing tax research
• Experience with OneSource tax-compliance-and-provision software preferred
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and competing projects in an acquisition-oriented business
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND/OR CREDENTIALS:
• Bachelor's degree in accounting; MST or MBA preferred
• CPA certification and a minimum of seven to ten years of related experience; a mix of public and industry preferred

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate and review U.S. federal and state income and miscellaneous other tax returns on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
- Assist with review and preparation of tax provisions on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis as well as applicable financial statement disclosures
- Research - analyze domestic and multinational tax issues
- Analyze domestic and multinational tax issues, including due diligence review for acquisitions
- Manage the international compliance reporting for the U.S. consolidated federal return (Forms 5471, 8865, 8858, and 1118)
- Supervise and train tax staff
- Communicate and interact with outside auditors and tax advisors
- Make critical technical decisions, utilizing expertise and experience
- Manage other projects and perform other duties as assigned
