Air Specialty & Equipment is seeking a talented Controller to join the accounting team. This position will be based in Corpus Christi and will report up to the Vertical CFO. The Controller will be responsible for maintaining accurate transactional books and records of the business including the preparation of timely business unit financial reports, as well as performing daily financial tasks to keep the business units running smoothly.

Air Specialty & Equipment is seeking a talented Controller to join the accounting team. This position will be based in Corpus Christi and will report up to the Vertical CFO. The Controller will be responsible for maintaining accurate transactional books and records of the business including the preparation of timely business unit financial reports, as well as performing daily financial tasks to keep the business units running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Timely completion of financial statements and preparation of monthly financial reporting packages
- Maintain consistent accounting policies and procedures in compliance/ accordance with GAAP
- Responsible for financial analysis
- Recording transactions and maintaining ledgers
- Reconciling accounts & bank statement reconciliations
- Overseeing sales tax returns
- Assisting with audits
- Responsible for regular financial statement reviews
Requirements
- 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience
- Bachelor's in Business Administration or Accounting
- Proven experience working as a Controller, or in a similar role, preferred
- Experience managing books for multiple business units preferred
- Results oriented work ethic delivering timely and accurate financials with comprehensive explanations
- Detail oriented, inquisitive, and analytical
- Advanced knowledge of Excel
- Experience with Quickbooks is a plus
- Must have a positive attitude, strong work ethic, team player, be self-motivated with a desire to excel and grow within the company
