JOB SUMMARY:
The Executive Director, Finance, Americas is responsible for all the accounting, reporting, control and financial support for the Regional Finance Team in the Americas region. Specifically, maximizes the return on financial assets by establishing financial policies, procedures, controls and reporting systems and ensures legal and regulatory compliance for all accounting and financial reporting functions. Oversees cost and general accounting, accounts receivable/collection and payroll and risk management. Additional responsibilities include Global T&E program and central finance systems support.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide financial support to the Powertrain Management team in Americas by delivery of timely and meaningful financial support, reports and analysis to executive and business management which can be used for strategic and tactical decision-making
- Provide coordination of financial information, analysis and support to the Americas leadership team, including product and customer profitability analysis and new business assessments
- Provide continued development and improvement of management reporting systems to deliver more accurate, timely and meaningful management information
- Deliver continual process improvements in financial processes and controls including Shared Services links and processes
- Manage compliance requirements
- Interface with the Corporate Controllers Office and external auditors on all appropriate financial matters
- Ensure strong financial controls exist across all functions / departments
- Develop strong working relationships with operational management ensuring compliance with Tenneco Powertrain policies and controls
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; Master's Degree in Business Administration or CPA designation preferred.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- 10-15 years of relevant financial analysis experience
- Experienced at operating at a Finance Director level or equivalent in a large, global and complex organization and at working with and partnering with senior management
- Ability to execute and drive to established targets for the region
- Strong interpersonal skills and effective communicator across all levels of the organization, including strong presentation skills
- Demonstrated leadership with the ability to drive changes in processes and manage / develop a team
- Strong ability to manage and function in a multiple reporting relationship structure and to deliver on schedule while managing and organizing multiple and changing priorities
- Demonstrated good judgment, strong control and analytical skills with a high attention to detail - able to work through complex analysis and reach a conclusion
- Ability to contribute and provide recommendations to any and all business decisions
- Possess the skill set and drive to allow further progression in the organization
- Demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others
- Ability to think ahead and plan over a 1-2-year time span
- Demonstrated technical skills in strategic planning and financial planning
- Must possess excellent judgment, organizational and prioritization skills
- Must have skill at problem analysis and problem resolution at both a strategic and functional level
- Must have ability to travel on a global basis
