General Engineer

Amentum is now hiring for several General Engineer (All Levels) positions in support of the Field, Lab and Air Integration / Experimentation / Modeling and Risk Reduction (FLAIR) office at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD and other locations. This project will provide the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM), Command, Control, Computers, Communications, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Research (C5ISR) Center services to include programmatic/business management services, engineering support services, field engineering, laboratory, logistics, and acquisition / administrative support services to augment FLAIR core Government personnel and turn-key solutions to support the missions of FLAIR and its associated Managers and customers. This support will be conducted in close coordination with Government project leads within FLAIR.

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $75,000 - $275,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.).

The candidate will perform the following duties:
- Supervises professional and paraprofessional engineering personnel, which may include Engineers, Engineering Technicians, and Technologists.
- Oversees the daily activities and assignments of staff.
- Aids in the formulation of overall department objectives, policies, plans, and programs; and provides technical and specialized functional services and recommendations for carrying them out.
- Analyzes and resolves work problems and assists employees in solving work problems.
- Assists in administration of personnel functions, which may include selection and placement of personnel, performance evaluations, promotions, salary adjustments, disciplinary action, training, and development.
- Maintains working knowledge and capability to correct and demonstrate all duties and tasks of the supervised staff.
- Submits cost reduction proposals, investigates proposals from other sources, compiles appropriate information, makes recommendations for action, and checks on results obtained.
- Recommends measures to improve methods, performance, quality of product or service, and suggests changes to increase efficiency.
- Supervises assembly of cost control and statistical data.
- The Engineer has considerable experience in providing highly specialized applications and operational analysis.
- Experience in planning and supporting network and computing infrastructure.
- Has knowledge in networking technologies.
- Is cognizant, knowledgeable and contributes to all phases of software development with emphasis on the planning, analysis, modeling, simulation, testing, integration, documentation and presentation phases.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, electronics engineering, or other engineering or technical discipline is required.
- 1-10+ years of experience.
- 8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education.
- Must have an Active TOP SECRET US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain a TOP SECRET Clearance.
Compensation:
