In this fast-paced role, you'll manage essential functions such as reconciliations, prepaid analyses, month-end close, and sales tax filings. Salary and Benefits:
  • Competitive Pay: Earn between $79,000.00 -$95,000.00 annually, based on experience.
  • Flexible Work Environment: Experience the best of both worlds with our hybrid-remote flexibility! You'll work from our Clinton, MD office every Tuesday and Wednesday, along with additional days on occasion. To support your remote work, we provide a company laptop.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the controller with daily operations of a busy accounting department.
  • Assist in managing financial aspects and completing month end close.
  • Ensure timely filing and renewal of business licenses and permits.
  • Manage annual property tax filings and quarterly gross receipt filings.
  • Prepare daily journal entries and allocations.
  • Subledger reconciliation review.
  • Handle fixed asset management and depreciation.
  • Prepare multi-state sales tax filings.
  • Process bi-weekly payroll.
  • Prepare balance sheet schedules.
  • Perform bank account reconciliations
  • Provide lead support in financial audits.
  • Perform variance analyses.
  • Provide financial reports to senior management.
  • Undertake other duties as assigned.

  • Proficiency in advanced Excel practices.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting is required.
  • 4+ years of accounting experience in a corporate environment ($50M+ inventory control).
  • Knowledge of general accounting principles, regulatory standards, and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and computerized accounting systems.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
