You will lead a significant portion of an engagement while guiding and developing individual team members. You'll work directly with clients, and you'll take ownership of the overall project (or significant portion) and its end products. You will make an important contribution to the analysis, design, and structuring of recommendations that enable clients to chart an actionable path forward. Strategy engagements cover a range of client situations, including corporate/business unit strategy, go-to-market strategy, and translating strategy to major initiatives.

In a collaborative team setting, you'll work closely with others but also autonomously with little direction. Your superior analytical, quantitative and conceptual thinking skills and strong interpersonal and communication skills will ensure successful client engagements and team performance.
Client engagement work typically includes gathering and analyzing information, formulating and testing hypotheses, and developing recommendations for presentation to client management. From there, you will develop path forward steps to implement those recommendations, such that client team members understand and follow through to execution. These path forward steps will often require collaboration with team members from our Industry and Solutions teams.
You'll also gain new skills and build on the strengths you bring to the firm. The Strategy Practice's culture is marked by intentional apprenticeship and proactive personal development. WHAT YOU'LL GET TO DO:
Lead strategy engagements
Conduct world-class hypothesis development, research, analysis and business case development
Leverage conceptual thinking to frame actionable recommendations
Participate in the sharpening of Strategy Practice's methodologies via developing training and client case studies
Develop junior strategy team members on your project teams and as a 1:1 partner
Leading Client Engagements (or substantial portions)
Day to day management of workplan, consulting team and client working team
Partner and coordinate with strategy principal overseeing the engagement
Responsible for producing the team's recommendations and deliverables
Collaborate with industry and solutions team members, as needed, to identify and design integrated follow on engagements
Research and Analysis
Uses structured frameworks to analyze primary and secondary research, including market forecasts, competitive data, etc.
Conducts detailed analysis of market demand and potential for business/product prospects. Can perform and produce a market-sizing and competitive landscape assessment
Visualizes data and insights to achieve clarity and impact and synthesizes researching findings to concise learnings
Builds financial models and business cases to measure the impact of strategic initiatives
Uses basic knowledge of core finance and accounting principles to navigate key financial documents (including annual reports, 10ks, and Form 990s) and understands key business drivers and performance indicators
Structure Issues and Synthesize Findings
Participate in developing proposals and pre-launch work planning and issue framing
Design and conduct activities to capture, analyze and synthesize information, including primary market research and client workshops
Connects the dots across working sessions to identify risks, issues, dependencies and connections
Ability to produce content and support elements of client workshops
Apply human centered design principles to problem solving and strategy development
Strategy Practice Development (e.g. culture, thought leadership, white papers)
Actively engages in Strategy team culture and capability building, including training, recruiting, drafting POVs, developing methodologies
Drive end-of engagement knowledge capture by developing case studies and documenting best in class deliverables and templates

WHAT WE EXPECT YOU'VE ALREADY DONE:
Bachelor's degree; advanced degree or MBA preferred
Solid functional knowledge in one or more of: strategy, marketing, sales, product, innovation, quantitative and qualitative primary market research, statistical analysis, complex solution development, complex project management
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, including financial modeling and working with large data sets
Initiative taker, eager to break new ground, create opportunities
Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively
Preferred: deep expertise in one or more of Point B's industry sectors
Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
The estimated salary range for this role is $131,000 - $164,000 USD per year.This salary range is provided as required by local and state law as applicable.Individual salaries vary on a number of factors including but not limited to geography, skills, education, experience and unique qualifications where applicable.
Bonuses are awarded at Point B's discretion and are based upon individual contributions and overall firm performance.
