Paraprofessional Educator

Hiring multiple candidates, Easy Apply, Full TimeJob DescriptionWe are seeking special education paraprofessionals to join us supporting students.In this role positively contributing to the lives of children in special education by supporting licensed teachers with academic adaptations, self-care, and social/behavioral needs.This role comes with a competitive hourly rate between $15 - $22 per hour, paid weekly. With this role there is no requirement to work weekends and will be on a Monday to Friday schedule within hours of 7:30 - 3:00/4:30 pm on a full time basis. This position is for the school year.Responsibilities:Assisting licensed staff in the classroomAid students in meeting their individualized education plan (IEP)Maintain a classroom environment that is conducive to learningWork with individuals and/or small groups when activities and assignments are presentedProvide support for students in crisisSupport students on outings by driving them into the communityUtilize a variety of learning methods to enhance the student's learning experiences and support them as neededCelebrate the students you're working withBenefits:Weekly payPaid Sick Leave401K (certain eligibility criteria)Qualifications:60 credits, Associates Degree, obtained a passing score on an appropriate ADE assessment, or ParaPro/Praxis ExamIVP Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance CardExperience working with childrenApplicants must have professional proficiency in EnglishUS Work Authorization - Zen Educate cannot provide sponsorship for an employment visa or relocation assistance at this time.Preferred Qualifications:Previous experience working in special educationBehavioral Technician or PCA experienceCrisis prevention (CPI) trainingCPR certificationWhy Zen?Zen Educate makes finding your perfect role in education easier!
