SUMMARY OF OPPORTUNITY:

The IPS System Administrator allows supporting a diverse work environment with individuals and various platforms. You will have the opportunity to work on an enterprise-size network with various software packages that will give you a wealth of multiple experiences.

"Day In the Life" Overview

On a regular day, as the System Administrator, you might:

Administers a defined set of technologies and the servers and operating systems upon which they reside. Each Systems Administrator is assigned a set of technologies. Technologies supported by the Systems Administration team include File and Print, Office365, Google Docs, Microsoft Azure, Access Management, Active Directory, Internet Content Filtering, Policy and Remote Software Deployment, Security Awareness, Linux Server, Windows Server, MacOS Server, Google Applications, Storage, VMWare, ERP (Munis), Student Information System, Library Management, Structure Query Language (SQL) Servers and various Caching Server Technologies.

Designs, tests, installs, configures, upgrades, and maintains applications, operating systems, utilities, and hardware in both on-premise and cloud environments work with the applications owners and the cybersecurity team to ensure the integrity of the district systems and data.Maintains server capacity in a significantly virtualized environment. Spins up new virtualized servers as needed.Work with outside partners and vendors in integrating and implementing their applications in the IPS data center or cloud base environment.Installs new physical servers, storage, or network-based appliances in the data center or cloud base environmentTeams with other systems analysts and digital strategy professionals to improve, integrate, and manage access across technologies.Analyzes usage and transaction logs to identify opportunities to increase system performance-Troubleshoots and repairs application performance issues.Stays current on the latest technologies in the market regarding the assigned technology portfolio. Research, evaluate and recommend changes needed to keep current.Creates and maintains documentation on the environment.Responds to user requests and issue reports utilizing a ticket management system.Follows digital strategy policies and industry best practices for change management and data, application, and system security as laid out by the cybersecurity team.Be on-call when an issue arises during a set period of time.WHAT YOU'll BRING: SKILLS AND MINDSETS

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS

Associate Degree in Information Technology or three years of experience in the

A+ Certifications

VMWare Certifications a plus

Microsoft Windows Server 2016+ Certifications a Plus

Microsoft Azure Certification a Plus

Microsoft SQL Certification a plus
