Job Description
Position Title: Assembler I/Wired Cabinets - Full Time/Day Shift
Department Production (Enclosures)
Reports to: Production Supervisor
Primary Objective
The Assembler I/Wired Cabinets assembles and constructs traffic signals, enclosures, and panels.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesRead point-to-point electrical diagrams, blueprints and/or bullet point instructions when requiredCut to length, strip, tin and crimp wire.Use powered and unpowered hand tools such as screwdrivers, wire cutters, crimpers and wrenches, drills, shear, powered screwdrivers.Interpret available blueprints, diagrams and instruction bullet points and assemble sub-assemblies.Accurately eliminate and route wires at the designated locations as described by an electrical diagram.Solder wires to specified points.Complete inventory-tracking paperwork.Participate in continuous improvement efforts.Complete cross training opportunities in other areasOther duties as assignedQualifications

Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma/GED and relevant electronics/assembly experience
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Must have an aptitude for electronic control equipmentMust be able to pay attention to detail consistentlyMust be able to work in a team environmentMust be able to solderMust be able to read blueprints and/or instructional diagrams
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit; talk or hear; and use hands to finger, handle, or touch objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. The employee is required to use hands repetitively.
The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perceptions and ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of worked at Monday through Friday, 7am to 3:30pm. Occasional overtime including weekends may be required.
